Alright, another morning, another post. Not really sure what to write about. I am making really good progress on my application. My friend sat down with me and helped me come up with a slightly different architecture that’s closer to the one that I’ll be migrating it to once this iteration of the app is done. If I had to guess I’d say I was about 15 to 20 percent of the through the app. My goal is to focus on usability, functionality, and design. However those won’t be equally divided, I’m probably going to spend less time on design, but I just want to make sure that I am using the right controls so when it comes time to make it look decent I can. If I had to give you a breakdown, I would say about 20% of my time will go to design aesthetic and about 60% will go towards usability and 20% to functionality. I only want my application to be as functional as my other tool was, no more than that. Thankfully most of the code to implement that has already been written in some form or fashion. Usability is king here, if this app isn’t more usable than my tool before then why I am I spending time to write it?
